You would be tough pressed to uncover any structure far more metaphorical than a bridge: developing bridges unites people, burning them results in division. There\s a bridge above troubled drinking water, and water below the bridge. The same bridge that backlinks a metropolis to its homeland nowadays may also lower it off tomorrow.
